They met at a musical improv class 4 years ago… and that night, connected over the fact that both their mothers names are Barbara. They share a love of pizza, costumes and of course, laughter. Heidi + Max got married in the same place they met, Bolton Street Synagogue and I’ve never witnessed 2 people that love and laugh with so much of themselves!
During their engagement photos, we talked a lot about a rain plan for their first look and where made the most sense to see each other and take their portraits. The private meadow at the synagogue was obviously THE perfect spot… but 95% of the credit goes to Mother Nature and the most perfect Fall temperatures and foliage you could ask for!!
Here is a list of my top 7 favorite parts of their vibrant fall colored October wedding in Baltimore:
-
this warm and loving couple’s personality showed through every step of the way!
-
all of the vibrant fall colors incorporated in the flowers, non-matching bridesmaid dresses, floral groomsmen ties, chuppah, vibrant ketubah and tablescape design by Nouvelle Weddings; all of the rust, burnt orange, magenta and red pops of color among the invitation, escort cards, linens, centerpiece arrangements were such a fun touch of warmth
-
the synagogue ballroom’s ivory draping and geometric gold pendants hanging above the dance floor only added to the elegant and fun feel
-
how Heidi embraced her love of glasses and had a special light blush pair she wore just for her wedding day; yay for brides that wear glasses (our second one this year!)
-
the way Max’s face lit up when he saw Heidi for the first time and they had the most private, intimate portrait time in the meadow of their synagogue
-
the textured and patterned red lace floral dress Heidi’s sister (and maid of honor) wore was STUNNING!! this is it – guess where it’s from…!
-
the record-breaking length of the traditional jewish celebratory dance, the hora – it was 20 minutes long and full of energy that DID NOT STOP!
Heidi had mentioned to me that she was most excited for the hora and to be out on the dance floor. CJ of Crow Entertainment ROCKED it with the most epic 20 minute hora set I’ve ever heard!
Mazel tov, to you and your incredible families! Here’s to #heiditothemax!! It meant so much to capture such a special and fun-loving couple among so many of your loved ones. Keep eating pizza, dancing and laughing together for the rest of time and you’ll be FINE(blum) forever. 😉
