It’s been awhile since I’ve been to the Catskills, and driven through the windy mountainous NY highway roads lined with trees, lakes and small town main streets. But wow, does that sort of fresh air do wonders for your soul!
At the end of August, Karen and Steve (the 5th brother-in-law out of 6 to get married, and the other half of the twins that get married this summer!) were married at one of the most picturesque and totally ‘them’ locations you could imagine: the 400-acre Stone Tavern Farm with horses, barns, a swimmable lake, hiking trails, campsites, log cabins to stay in, paintball…! It was an epic wedding weekend. I brought my camera with me in hopes of capturing just some of the beauty, excitement and memories being made.
The cabin we stayed in overlooked an enormous field of wildflowers and each morning you’d wake up to an incredibly quiet and peaceful fog that would burn off by lunchtime. Intricate spider webs were everywhere and I was enamored. This was just the start of one of them…
The weather was unbelievably perfect. Every view was more picturesque than the next.
How stunning is Karen’s wedding dress?! I was obsessed. She looked incredible!
Vinny, one of the 6 brothers, was their officiant and he was SO good in that role. The perfect blend of humor, romance, and marriage advice. 🙂 Side note, did you notice that incredible oak tree they got married in front of and the handmade cedar chuppah? So simply beautiful.
You’ll notice that I prioritized dancing and family time, since the photos stop after we entered the barn following cocktail hour… 🙂
Steve + Karen, you both are destined for an amazing journey in your careers as doctors, amongst your friends and family with so much heartfelt love and between the two of you…the way you simply look at each other can light up a barn. Your wedding weekend was the perfect balance of relaxing and energizing. We love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate more happy occasions in the future! I have no doubt that any future family gatherings you host will always continue until 2am with plenty of good music, food and beer/wine flowing. 😉
Suss! Beautiful photos, you really caught the details that so clearly made up such a special weekend. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…you really have an eye!! xo
Thanks so much, Mags! It was such a gorgeous affair, I could have snapped photos all day and night long… 🙂 xoxo
